  • Greater burdock root
  • Carrot

  • Golden Tamari Sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Sugar
  • Sake (Japanese sake, rice wine / Mirin)
  • Roasted sesame seeds (iri goma)

Cooking Instruction

  1. Wash a greater burdock root, rightly shave the skin and shred into very thin strips.
    Dip into water for a while to skim the scum from the water.

  2. Peal the skin of carrot, cut it to size of a matchstick.
    Cut a chile pepper into thin round slices.

  3. Pull sesame oil in a pan and fry a burdock by medium fire.
    When burdock becomes soft, add a carrot and fry it more.

  4. Add chile pepper, sugar and Sake and stir-fry well.
    Put all on to a dish.
    Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds (iri goma).
